Holy Hugmeez Sensation

People, meet Hugmeez. Hugmeez, meet people.

In addition to bringing us the sensational duo of Posh Spice and David Beckham, we can thank England for another jolly good treat – Hugmeez! If you haven’t heard, this quirky, plush dude with arms outstretched is the latest online sensation.

Remember when people went bonkers for Cabbage Patch Kids, even though they were kind of ugly? Maybe it was the outie belly button or the signature on the buttocks, but they did grow on you. The more you stared at them, the cuter they got.

Hugmeez are funny critters because they look like a cross between a troll doll and the Hamburger Helper mascot, the Helping Hand. I’m not sure if I want to hug it or high five it. Honestly, at least it doesn’t have a Justin Bieber comb over…

If you’re wondering what the Hugmeez buzz is all about, think of unicorns and rainbows. Yes, these happy, round dolls are all about love, peace and happiness. In a world of negativity and stress, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Hugmeez be thy name. They make great gifts too, especially for kids. If you want to give your tween a token of affection without going overboard to the point of embarrassment, think Hugmeez. If your husband does an entire load of laundry without turning anything pink, maybe he deserves one. You can buy them at Amazon, but supplies are limited. Although it does say more are on the way.

Explore the world of Hugmeez online and even create your very own customized Hugmee. (I think the plural is ‘Hugmeez” and the singular is “Hugmee” – although I could be wrong.) You can learn more about Hugmeez here.

What do you think? Will you be cuddling Hugmeez soon?
