Hooray! Instagram had, until now, been available only on the iPhone. All that changed today though, and now Android users can get in on the fun too. For free.
Instagram is more than just a way to take and edit photos. It’s social media, often described as a visual Twitter, and it’s a fun way to share snaps of your daily life. Many users are also using it to produce and share beautiful shots, and the convenience of using your cell phone camera makes it easy to participate in creative challenges like daily photo projects. The app makes it easy to follow the people you’re already friends with on Twitter and Facebook too, and part of the fun is discovering new favorites through the medium as well (p.s. I’m “makingitlovely” if you want to follow me).
You can download the app from the Google Play Marketplace.
