The Kit Every Incoming Preschooler Needs

These learning kits from Grasshopper were designed by a Pediatric Occupational Therapist from her years of experience helping young children. Each kit is made to help preschoolers with different types of tasks to help get them ready for school. The kits are made to be fun and are entirely pencil and workbook free. Depending on which kit you buy, there are activities like tracing letters with your finger over a gel pack, working with tong-like pre-scissors or coloring with small tip-only crayons.

The kits themselves are designed to be self-contained units, so you can use them and then clean up easily afterwards. Currently there are four types – “ABCs and Shapes”, “Following Directions”, “Getting Our Hands Ready” and “Snap Glue & Grow”. The first two kits are packaged together for $49.95 and come with the carrying case, and the other two cost $29.95. Grasshopper Preschool Prep Kits are available at Barnes & Noble, FAO Schwarz and online at GrasshopperKits.com. –Chris Ford
