Jools Oliver, the wife of celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver, just announced she will be designing a line of children’s clothing for the British retailer, Mothercare. Jools, a former model, is mom to four kids of of her own (Poppy, Daisyboo, Petal, and Buddy). She writes on her blog for Gurgle.com, “Since having our first little girl, Poppy, my obsession with dressing her up and collecting beautiful clothes for her has grown. This of course has been magnified by the arrival of the next two girls: Daisyboo and Petal. Thank goodness for hand-me-downs. And it doesn’t matter how expensive or cheap an item of clothing was, everything has been carefully chosen and lovingly worn by all three girls.” She also mentioned she’s loved the challenge of dressing up a new baby boy as well! Jools says her inspirations come from her own childhood clothing, her love of mixing new and vintage, and her “hippy- at- heart side”. The line will debut…
in August and rumor has it that it will include everything from little girls’ dresses to nursery bedding. I’ve always loved Jools’s style so I can’t wait to see the line!
P.S. Jools also wrote her own book about motherhood, titled, “The Diary of an Honest Mum“.
