She’s launched her own fragrance, shoe line and most recently opened the boutique DASH NYC with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney – there is no denying Kim Kardashian is one busy business woman! Now, with the spirit of the holiday shopping season creeping up on all of us, Kim has decided to teach kids how to spend money with their very own credit card.
Geared towards children as young as 13 years-old, the Kardashian Prepaid MasterCard is set to launch at a party backed by Mobile Resource tomorrow night at Pacha Nightclub in New York City.

A rep for Mobile Resource spoke to the New York Post in regards to the benefits of the card saying, “Teens do not spend their money as their parents think they do, and, drugs are a huge problem in this country. I give my son a small amount of cash and track his spending on his card.”
Giving your child a credit card may seem a little extreme for some, but on the other hand could it teach money management and responsibility?”
I know many teens ask their parents for cash quite frequently, so I can see the tracking aspects of this credit card as being quite beneficial. By giving kids their own pre-paid credit card, parents can start tracking and keeping on top of their spending habits.
What do you think? Is the Kardashian credit card a good idea or a parenting faux-pas?
