Library Find: Book of the Week

I Want My Hat Back via Babble

With our remodeled neighborhood library open (and awesome), Scarlet and I have been enjoying a standing weekly date, library card in hand. We dump off one pile of literary treats and stock up on fresh reads, discovering lots of good picture books, a few duds, and that rare treat a book we both adore so much we have to go out and buy our own copy. Last week’s find is right up there with An Awesome Book of Thanks!, Not All Princesses Dress in Pink, and The Gruffalo as our new fave daily reads.

I Want My Hat Back is short and simple, but has a humor reminiscent of the amazing Mo Willems. And just when you think there’s a moral to this story, it ends with a surprise that will make your kid literally laugh out loud. I won’t spoil it for you.
