Make DIY Alphabet Garland 1 of 5
Children love to express themselves in color, and this alphabet garland lets them do just that. Help your kids spell out words with this easy project that will have the whole family hanging on their every word!
Gather Your Materials 2 of 5
To make Crafting Community + Kid Made Modern alphabet garlands, you'll need:
- Kid Made Modern plain and patterned tape
- Heavy cardstock or chipboard
- Safety scissors
- Hole punch
- String or twine
- Downloadable alphabet template
Ready Your Letters 3 of 5
Print the letters of your choice, cut them out, and trace them onto your card stock. Flip the cards tock over, and place down alternating strips of tape over the area where the letter is. Flip the card back over, and cut out the letter using the traced outline. The backside of your letter should now be covered in colorful tape!
Assemble the Garland 4 of 5
Punch holes at the top of each letter, and string them together using your string. You can reuse the letters to spell out any words you want: From "Happy Birthday" to "Get Well Soon," the possibilities are endless!
Show off Your Work! 5 of 5
Once you have your garland assembled, make sure you hang it where everyone can see it! It makes an excellent party decoration, but you can also leave it up all year as a reminder of exactly how skilled and crafty you are.
