Eeek! I couldn’t be more excited about Gap’s new Peter Rabbit collection. Being a total Anglophile, I am of course a huge Beatrix Potter fan! Her style has inspired me so much over the years. One of my favorite things to watch with my nieces and nephews is The Royal Ballet’s Production of The Tales of Beatrix Potter. Trust me, Jemima Puddle Duck doing ballet, is awesome. I also grew up taking tea on a Peter Rabbit tea set and pouring over the books. I love the sweet illustrations of the gardens and animals and the classic stories. As an adult, I’ve been inspired by Beatrix Potter’s personal story and her amazing independence for the time she lived in.
I was hesitant when I first heard about Gap’s Peter Rabbit collection since I am such a purist, but I am thrilled to bits with it! Instead of going crazy, plastering Peter Rabbit on everything, they’ve taken the essence of the books and brought them to life. The collection features ditzy prints of little rabbits, blue and pink plaid chambray rompers and dresses, and little onesies strewn with radishes! See my favorites, below!
