New Twilight Makeup Collection is Affordable + Stylish

By michellehorton |

Sure this would make a popular gift idea for your tween niece, but in all seriousness — you might want to keep this for yourself.

Essence Cosmetics is releasing a limited-edition makeup collection inspired by Twilight’s Breaking Dawn Part 2 — the final movie in the blockbuster saga. Coincidentally, the trendy Fall/Winter 2012 makeup look is quite vampire-y — with dark nails, oxblood burgundy lips, and smokey eyes — so, Twilight or no Twilight, this collection is very wearable for any fashionable woman. Biggest perk: Everything in this Twilight makeup collection is under $5.

Take a closer look at the Twilight makeup:

Some of my favorite adult-friendly items include:

  • Dark, moody nail polishes: sparkly black, deep purple, and even a trendy navy blue. The gold? I could take it or leave it — but it certainly has a “holiday” feel to it. Plus they’re $2.
  • The highlighting shimmer powder is something you could always use — and this one costs less than $5.
  • Loose eyeshadows in dark, smokey colors.

The entire limited-edition Twilight collection will be out in a couple of weeks. (We won’t tell.)
