Orbit Baby (FINALLY) Launches their Double Helix Stroller

It’s one of the most highly anticipated stroller launches of the year, and after a few delays, Orbit Baby is finally ready to launch their Double Helix.

Take a look why this double stroller has everyone buzzing:

This is what the Orbit Baby looks like as a single stroller.

And here's the simple Double Helix attachment, which you can buy separately for your Orbit Baby stroller ($350) or as a full Double Helix stroller frame ($750).

If you do buy the attachment for your current Orbit Baby stroller, you'll also get a larger stroller basket, a ShadePad tablet pocket (keep reading for more deets about that), and a new extendable uni-bar handlebar.

And this is what the stroller frame looks like sans seats. You'll notice two circles for the seats to sit upon (known as their SmartHub rings), which enables the seats to easily turn in any direction. So your two little ones can face each other while strolling or rotate for a front-to-back ride.

If you have an Orbit Baby infant seat, you can quickly turn the Double Helix into a convenient travel system.

And you can add the infant car seat to the top or bottom, which is a unique option.
  • Two Car Seats 6 of 10

It's also the perfect solution for infant twins, considering you can add two infant car seats — which is also fairly unique for a double stroller. There are many double strollers out there that only accommodate one infant car seat.
  • Even the Toddler Car Seat 7 of 10

Now here's a real unique perk of the Orbit Baby system in general. Their Orbit Baby G2 Toddler Car Seat functions as an infant seat, in that you can remove it from its car seat base and add it to your stroller.

Or, of course, you can just use the Double Helix with two stroller seats.
  • Add a Bassinet 9 of 10

As if the Double Helix didn't have enough seating options, you can also add the Orbit Baby bassinet to the mix.

In addition to the included cup holders and smartphone slot, the Orbit Baby Double Helix also comes with a ShadePad — which functions as an iPad (or other type of tablet) case, as well as a sunshade for the second seat. You can even adjust the handles so that your child can look at (or play with) the tablet while riding.

Stay tuned for a FULL review of the Orbit Baby system (including the Orbit Baby Double Helix) in our upcoming Best Strollers + Best Double Strollers features.

Pre-order your Orbit Baby Double Helix Stroller Frame ($750) or the Helix Plus Double Stroller Upgrade Kit ($350). They’re expected to ship on the week of October 8.
