Our Christmas Story: Tour Our Holiday Home Decor

Hands down one of my favorite parts of the holidays is decorating the house! Pulling out those boxes of ornaments, lights, and garland always gives me such joy. It’s an all-out party as we unwrap and unravel all of those pretty little things that get tucked away for so much of the year. Among the boxes of holiday baubles are the very first ornaments I started collecting in college the year I had my first tree of my own, and an assortment of decorations and ornaments that I inherited from my grandmother. Like me, she was in love with everything Christmas, and I love finding little places to tuck all of her favorite Christmas treasures.

My favorite way to decorate for the holidays is with memories. Those little Christmas houses and churches that always dotted my grandmother’s living room. Ornaments collected while traveling through far off places. Photos from holiday celebrations past. The end result is a somewhat random, absolutely eclectic, warm and merry look that just fills me with joy. Want to take a peek at our holiday home? I’m sharing a glimpse at some of my favorite decorations!
