Salvaged Glass Window Paintings by Emmy Star Brown

Emmy Star Brown - Swing

I first saw the work of Emmy Star Brown a couple of years ago at The One of a Kind Show, Chicago. She paints one of a kind (indeed) designs on old, discarded windows. The weathered wood gives so much character, and contrasts with the graphic sleekness of Brown’s painting style.

She recently teamed up with Sharpie and created a video showcasing their new metallic markers (gold and bronze now join silver!). Take a look, below.

Needless to say, I’m pretty taken with her. You can view more of her work on her website: Emmy Star Brown.
