Don’t you hate to say goodbye? Get out the hankies because yet another historical American Girl Doll is set to be retired. Felicity Merriman, the doll representing the year 1774 will be made no more. Who was Felicity? She was a red-headed colonial girls who lived in Williamsburg, Virginia right before the onset of the American Revolution.
Felicity debuted in 1991 with her best friend Elizabeth joining her in 2005. And Felicity didn’t just exist in doll form. There was a movie of her life made called Felicity: An American Girl Adventure.
Both Felicity and Elizabeth dolls and accessories will be saying bye bye on January 1st, 2011. But her tales will live on with Felicity books still being available in stores and online.
