Should Grown Women Wear Rompers? Five Styles to Consider

By Jaime Morrison Curtis |

What do you think, should grown women wear one-piece rompers, or should they be reserved for little ones who have just learned to walk?  What if they are as grown up as these five? I have to admit I kinda love them. Find out where to get the adult romper above and see a few more grown-up rompers after the jump. Or just let me know if I am nuts in the comments…

I personally can not pull this look off as I still have then 10-pound twin on my midsection my son left behind after his birth.

  2. Katrina @ In Katrina's Kitchen says:

I saw this on a tee the ther day in subway and I had to stifle a laugh. Poor girl I thought. Seriously – if something is called a playsuit I really don’t think adults should even consider it. lol

  3. Rachel says:

Well, the models, of course, look very cute in them (I like all but the hat one…that’s a little too ’80′s for me — although the MODEL still looks cute). But I have to ask..do they come with snaps on the bottom? Because the only reason I like these for my babies is that there are snaps making it easy to change their diaper.

Do you have to take the whole thing off to use the restroom? That would be a deal-breaker, for sure!

  4. Kiersten says:

If you can pull it off go for it!

  5. Amandalee says:

I love rompers! It’s all about finding one that meshes with your style and makes you feel comfortable.

  6. kym says:

i adore rompers and own a few. i don’t however, enjoy using public bathrooms when wearing one! :)

  7. Glenna says:

    they look stupid

  8. Stephanie says:

What do you do when you have to go to the bathroom? Take it all off?! Doesn’t seem very functional to me. :) Unless it either has a zipper or snaps…

I think they are better for kids/babies.

  9. Anne Alagna says:

I would consider them if they have made the potty issue easy and if they fit my body with the waist in the correct place… which usually doesnt happen so I stick to multi piece outfits, including not wearing dresses.

  10. Tara says:

When jumpsuits first started showing up a couple years back I seriously gagged–and the hammer pants and harem pants–I gagged at it all. But, as time and fashion changes, we all catch up and now I like it all!

As for these, I like the last three that are solid prints (and thus MORE romper looking). I hate the first two that ‘look’ like separates. Really don’t like that look.

My favourite is the most expensive one (of course!) at $297, but my second favourite is the cheapest one at $29!

Of course not everyone can pull this off. As much as it sucks, I really think only slim people can pull this off. They hide nothing and make every roll look worse and make hips and all look thicker. Slim ladies only for this one i think. I’m an 8 and when I’ve tried these on they really were unflattering.

  11. k8 says:

Rompers don’t belong on anyone after potty training has been accomplished.

What about the proper adult onesies at http://www.funzee.com?

  13. Carrie at TikiTikiBlog! says:

Anti grown woman with romper. Unless you’re a tall pixie kind of girl, but after say, 22 no way on the romper.

Having lived through my share of fashion mistakes I can tell you, many women will look back in regret one day! LOL
