Here is one thing I learned when we bought our first child’s baby furniture: buy it durable and inexpensive. Why? Because kids have a tendency to break things…especially expensive things!
Which is why I love Step2’s Toddler Sleigh Bed. It’s made of extremely durable, colorful plastic. That means it will be almost impossible to break, scratch, or dent anything on it, and that it will be easy to clean.
The bed is also not break-the-bank expensive: the website has it listed for $189.99 which is a great buy since we know it will only be used for a year or two before it’s outgrown.
The box that the bed came in wasn’t too heavy for me to lug in to the house by myself when it arrived. It was super easy to assemble; it maybe took twenty minutes and I’m not very handy, but was able to do it myself.
I appreciate that the stickers aren’t the kind of stickers that will easily peel off: I know that my little ones like stickers and will try to get them off. It would be very difficult for them to do so.
And another really cool thing about this bed is the fact that it uses a standard size crib mattress, so we didn’t have to buy a new mattress for it!
The only negative thing I can say about the bed is that it doesn’t have any toddler rails along the sides of the bed, and I worry that eventually my daughter might fall out of it.
I would recommend this bed to anybody looking for an inexpensive yet very durable toddler bed for their little princess.
