Taking Care Of Your Daughter's Skin
At what point do you start talking skincare with your daughters? Most women I know (including myself!) wish they had taken better care of their skin when they were younger. As we’ve all discovered: turns out freckles are good, but sun damage is not.
I was happy to hear about Willa, an all-natural skin care line made specifically for girls. Read a bit more after the jump!
Completely free of harsh chemicals and additives, I really like that these products are basic in their approach and content and seem completely age appropriate — not too childish looking, not overly sophisticated. Bonus, you can find the whole line at Target!
Mothers of daughters, what approach do you take with your daughters on this subject?

Because my daughter sees that at 54 years of age, I wear only a bit of under eye concealer–no foundation or powder–she’s a believer in caring for her young skin.
In the 70′s, lots of us “glamorous girls” wore full-on foundation every day, and it unintentionally protected me from sun damage because the products I used had titanium dioxide in them, which is a sunscreen.
I started her as a tween with drugstore products, and when she proved that she’s faithfully use the regime, we upped the ante. I took her to Sephora for the first time a few years ago and she now uses Clinique , Boscia, and Nars products. Of course, drugstore items work well, but we budgeted for it and we have a blast trying different cosmetics together!
I’m sure she would have loved these products! A woman recently told me I look 40 (and she wasn’t trying to sell me something or hit on me LOL) so I would say you’re never too young to begin caring for your skin.
