The BEST 2010 Halloween Costumes for Kids of All Ages!Michelle Horton
Whew! After a long search on every Web site big and small, we found over 40 of our favorite 2010 Halloween Costumes for newborns, toddlers and kids. There’s an extensive price range (under $20 to over $100), from store-bought to handmade.
You can check out the entire list here, or you can keep reading for my #1 favorites in each of our categories:
Best for newborns:
We found so many unique bunting costumes for newborns this year that we had to create a category just for them. This football costume is handmade from the Etsy shop Ventichai for $25. (For more unique newborn costumes, click here.)
Best for toddlers:
We love, love, love the high-quality costumes at Pottery Barn Kids this year ($49) — not just for toddlers, but also for babies and big kids. In fact, we featured two of them: this airplane for boys and a gorgeous owl for girls, both of which have matching candy bags. For more toddler costumes (including a HILARIOUS garden gnome get-up), click here.
Best for Kids:
We featured quite a few costumes from Chasing Fireflies this year — some more pricey (like this Renaissance Princess gown for $78) than others. But all of them are incredibly detailed, high quality and unique. In fact, it was one of our favorite spots for costumes across the board. (For more kid costumes — including a brilliant $17 two-for-one costume from Old Navy — click here.)
While the handmade E.T. costume at the top of the page is a one-of-a-kind stunner ($78), we also really adore this Sack O’ Taters from the Etsy shop TatersMom ($35). So if you lack the skill to craft an incredible handmade costume (which I don’t know about you, is one of my favorite childhood traditions), then borrow the talent of these Etsy crafters.
