The Oeuf Toddler Bed (which retails for $620) has been on our wish list for some time. Oeuf is known for its sleek, modern design and exceptional quality, which is what attracted us to the bed in the first place. The Oeuf French-American husband-wife team has made quite a name for themselves for their gorgeous and environmentally conscious childrens furniture, clothing and gifts.
The bed comes in two large boxes and assembly was really simple — requiring just one quick break for a Diet Coke (nothing like those long Ikea assembly nights). It probably took 15 minutes to put together. The crib we had before this toddler bed was a modern, Oeuf-type knockoff from Walmart, so all throughout assembly we were comparing quality. The Oeuf brand was clearly superior in every regard. Low to the ground, the bed makes it really simple for a young toddler to climb in and out, and it still has the security rails on both sides. Like other toddler beds, it fits a crib mattress, so transition is easy for the child. The modern design is so sleek and stylish, it looks great any way you decorate the room. The white bed has a natural wood bottom that comes in two different stain options.
If you already have the Oeuf Classic Convertible Crib, you can simply purchase the Oeuf Toddler Bed Conversion Kit for $250 to turn your crib into this sleek toddler bed. In retrospect, I wish we had done that!
