The Perfect Spring Oxford

By Natalie |

From what I’ve seen in fashion spreads and on the streets, it seems like the perfect Spring shoe might just be the oxford. I’ve seen it paired with floral dresses, long maxi skirts, boyfriend jeans, tailored slacks, and slouchy paper bag waist trousers. In each instance they look perfect, and elevate the outfit from “thrown on” to “thought out.” And isn’t that just what you expect a good shoe to do for ya?

Plus, when made right, I hear oxfords are insanely comfortable. Shoes? Comfortable? I must investigate this idea.

And so I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect oxford. Some combination of shape and comfort and price. I’ve found many contenders in the process, and I am happy to share them with you! Hope you enjoy! (Warning: many of them may actually be brogues. I can’t tell the difference. Can you?)

Natalie, please do a “What I’m wearing this summer” post so I’ll know how to put together an outfit! I went to Forever 21 today and nearly cried in confusion. I can’t dress myself without your help. So, chop chop, my friend!
