There’s nothing I love more than beautiful design, but day in and day out of looking at expensive kids products can take a toll on my shopping habits and self-control. It’s one thing to admire clean lines and mod design, but if I were to buy up half the stuff I covet, my family would have to move into one of those cardboard kid playhouses I wrote about last week.
That’s why I was thrilled to stumble on the Paper City project from Made by Joel.

The Portland based DIY wizard and hands down coolest-dad-on-earth created this mini world and posted the project on his site so you can download for free. Bless his crafty little heart!
With amazing black and white graphics and playful little people (they look French, don’t they?), this mini city is a must-have. Just print, cut out and fold along the dotted lines. Joel recommends using matte paper of thicker stock for best results.
Either way, it’s a beautiful and stylish project that’s F.R.E.E! If that’s not worth a bit of printer toner, I don’t know what is. Download here!
