This is no run-of-mill cookie cutter dollhouse. It’s not one of those quaint antique style models that one envisions when one thinks ‘dollhouse’. This amazingly detailed house by Annina Günter doesn’t celebrate the fancy schmancy but rather the normal look of a “shared house,” complete with cheap Ikea like furniture, full trash bins, dead plants and shower grim. These kind of details are usually left out of your standard everyday dollhouse…which is more likely to celebrate perfection.
“I wanted to give it a bit of grit. It’s pretty true to life, and typical of flats I’ve lived in – a bit poky, and in a mess most of the time,” Günter said of her dollhouse.
For the furniture she found much via eBay along with creating many of the items herself, like the lampshade made from a pen top, and hand stitching bedding and cushions.
