What Does Macy's Have In Common With London Designer Kinder Aggugini?

Don’t you wish designer brands were available at a reasonable price point? Well, you are in luck because Macy’s made an announcement yesterday that will get fashionistas and styling mamas excited! London-based designer Kinder Aggugini, who has worked with big names and haute design houses such as Paul Smith, Versace, Calvin Klein, John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood, will be the designer to kick off Macy’s International Capsule Collection series in 2011. The line is said to capture his “coverable rocker-chic aesthetic”.

Read up on more details and view 2 more sketches from this new collection after the jump!

The Kinder Aggugini capsule collection will be the very first revealed in the designer series. The colors will be contemporary and split up into two groups: grey and blue with purple prints and soft pink and black. An exciting feature about these collectible pieces is that each and every one of them can be combined together. Because of the design and color scheme, everything can be mixed and matched.

Using rock ‘n roll elements and his Saville Row skills and signature touches, Kinder will create a key item collection priced between $40-$140, that includes tailored leather and bouclé jackets, soft cardigans, ultra feminine silk shorts and Kimono-style dresses. There will also be a specialty line featuring jackets, dresses, knitwear and shorts priced up to $300.

What do you think of this new collaboration?
