First there was Furby, then came Tickle Me Elmo — which evolved from vibrating giggles to the Hokey Pokey. And now, for Christmas 2010, the hottest toy craze is none other than Dance Star Mickey.
He’s funny, he’s cute and he sure knows some moves — even moonwalking across the floor. We all know some toys out there can look a little cheap (and when it comes to talking toys, a bit creepy), but Dance Star Mickey really does live up to it’s expectations. He looks even cuddlier than the newest Tickle Me Elmos and can do far, far more. Singing and dancing to six different songs — including techno and disco — they really put a lot of thought and technology into how Mickey moves. While the real young ones might be a little unsure of Mickey at first, it won’t take long for everyone to start dancing to the tunes and laughing at his silly jokes.
Dance Star Mickey is still available on Amazon for $90, but he’s starting to disappear from the shelves. This might be a hard one to get your hands on as Christmas nears, but luckily Fisher Price is hooking up one Babble reader with a free Dance Star Mickey. We can’t guarantee that it won’t annoy you after the 500th Mouska Mambo, but your kids will adore him.
