Would You Rather Have Your Kids Wear These or Crocs?

Croc like sneaker from Native Kids

Even though many people disagree with me, I love Crocs for little kids — specifically the toddler/preschool set. They’re lightweight, easy to wash down, easy to slip on and they don’t get smelly! There have been complaints about their look, so what do you think of these shoes from Native Kids that are made from similar material?

They’re available in three different styles and a bunch of bright colors, including the seasons hottest color seen below.

    Nope, I’ll stick with Crocs.

  2. Donna says:

Love almost like the jellies that my daughter wore in the late 80′s. She had eveyr color imaginable. These look like they have a little more support then what she wore…but also look like they will have the foot sweating therefore smelling more…..

  3. Erica says:

Im getting flashbacks of wearing jellies as a kid

  4. melissa says:

nope i like crocs and these are ugly lol ,and i bet those bumpy things hurt without socks

  5. Bre says:

LOVE them! Actually bought some yesterday for my little two year old. They are super light weight and a great alternative to flip-flop sandals (that my little one is constantly kicking off) I want some for myself.

  6. Andrea says:

Nope, don’t like these at all. I love Crocs for myself and my son.

  7. Rachel @ PencilShavingsBlog.com says:

Funny you mention these – I just saw them yesterday @ Nordstrom and had J try them on. His feet are too wide and his arch too tall for them to work for us, but I actually like them. And, for the record, I’m totally with ya on Crocs for little ones. They’re so easy — and anything that makes my life easier is awesome. I’m really staying away from any shoes with laces. It’s just too hard to mess with right now.

  8. Rilla says:

Yay! Actually bought some for my son for this summer. I love the practicality of Crocs…but wanted something that not every kid in America had one. ;)

  9. Amy says:

Eh… they don’t really do anything for me. I do like Crocs though.

  10. Marisa says:

Nope. No plastic shoes for us. Not even for the little ones.

  11. Shannon says:

Nay. There is a reason every kid in America has a pair of crocs. They are fantastic. I have two pair myself. As long as you don’t wear them out with the wrong thing (pajamas are popular here at the grocery store) they are still funky and cool. The knock offs are terrible. The real thing lasts forever, and crocs recycles. I drop the old ones in the bin!

  12. jessica says:

    Ug, ug, ugly! lol

  13. Robyn says:

neither. both are undesirable in my opinion. I like sports sandals and salt waters.

  14. Sabrina says:

Just bought a pair last week for both of my boys. They’ve had crocks the past few summers and I love them, but my oldest son is getting a little bit to old for them in my opinion. Love the look of these. They look almost like Jack Percelles if you ask me. So for all of you who thought they were ugly… Check with your fashion stylist or better yet just trust Ms. Blair she has impeccable taste.

Nay & Nay to the crocs too! I just do like the idea of wearing that material. My son never had a problem with his sandals. But then again, he is young, so maybe we just arent there yet. But I hate them & I hate even more seeing adults wearing them. They are akin to sweatpants or jogging suits to me. blah. Sorry if I hurt anyones feelings. It’s just my opinion.

  16. Sarah Buttenwieser says:

crocs are terrible for your feet unfortunately. these don’t look better for that. equally ugly but maybe that’s not the point!

  17. Elizabeth says:

Love Native shoes! They’re crocs meet converse. Fun colors, lightweight, kids love them… I can get on board with all that!

  18. Marti says:

I have boys and the shoes above look too girly. I will stick to crocs. I swear by them in the summer.

  19. NestBliss says:

My daughter loves her crocs and they are so easy for me and I love that she can wear them to the pool or to play in the hose. I do sometimes laugh though about dressing her in crocs and some baby gap clothes or something – sort of a clash of fashion vs. function. I, however, would never wear them.
