Monsters of the Household Variety is a monstrously large book (forgive the bad pun) that tells the story of different creatures that are responsible for “everyday household calamities.” Think: hot water runner, remote control remover, light bulb popper.
It is a gorgeous work of art by Ruth Ashton, hand stitched with painstaking detail that will only set you back a cool $1200. A little bit more than your average Dr. Suess boardbook.
What do you think, would you ever buy a children’s book that cost that much? Or would you be worried your well intentioned toddler would love up on it with grubby fingers?
