A few months ago I bought a terribly silly sweater online that featured a fox on the front. He was kind of cartoony, that fox, but something about him spoke to me. Unfortunately, the sweater fit too baggy on the sides so I had no choice but to return him (baggy foxes are a no go).
Since then I’ve been seeing more and more of these animal sweaters popping up. They’re kind of kitschy and tongue-in-cheek, but they’re also quite luxe, some of them made of angora or cashmere. Sometimes there are sequins. Sometimes I really want the sequins really bad.
I see them on grown, chic women on the street and I see them on cute, fresh-faced high school students grabbing a slice of pizza on their lunch breaks. I’m fascinated by this cultural development and now I have to know: Animals on your sweaters. Would you do it?
After the jump, I’ve found a few of these animal sweaters available for purchase for you to look through, you know, to help you make up your mind on this terribly important matter.
