You know some days it can all just go wrong?  We wake up late, stub our toe, realize we’re out of coffee, have a bad hair day, get in our car on empty, sit in gridlock, and return home only to find a jury summons in the mailbox? Yeah, those days are enough to ruin anybody’s mood.

    These are some really good tips on boosting your child’s mood. I have tried the apple and peanut butter thing, it works wonders. Also, just going outside changes their mood almost instantly. I did the dance thing last night to shake my mood which was rubbing off on the kids, and voila, all of us felt relaxed and wonderful afterwards. I will have to try the “mood bag,” sounds like a great idea!

    Bake-a-thons work wonders in our house. My daughter doesn’t get to eat much sugar, so even though we might make trays of cookies, brownies, muffins, banana bread, etc a couple times a week, she is more than happy to eat half a cookie when they cool (and rarely asks for more) Like Mommy, she gets more joy out of making everything and giving them away. Daddy doesn’t mind either lol
