Recently I asked my daughter what historical figure she admired most and she her first answer was Amelia Earhart — the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic (although to be fair, she was flying without kids, which is a different sport altogether).
When I was a kid, I had heroes: girls and women that I admired and looked up to and read everything that I could about. And it was interesting for me to realize when my own daughter was younger that these are the girls and women who are admired to this very day. Because they did amazing things.
