Beyond the Ponytail: 10 Up-Do's for Your Girly-Girl

One of the more fun things about having girls is the fun things that you can do with their hair. Princess Raru is now five years old and she has only ever had her hair cut once – three years ago and that was just her bangs. She’s been growing it ever since and it how reaches clear past her hips.

She loves her long hair because she loves to ‘feel like a princess’ and who am I to argue with that. I have always had long hair (until I became a mom and preferred shorter hair to having fist-fulls ripped out by young babies), and always had fun doing interesting styles to it.

Now I get my daughter’s hair to play with. There are times where she is just with a long ponytail or up in a bun, but there are times where going beyond the classics is warranted – or just fun to do.
