While They Were Sleeping (25 Sweet & Funny Photos of Kids Sleeping)

By mandycheney |

Little mouths agape, lashes still as the midnight sky, and a blanket of peace comforting our home is perhaps the closest thing to heaven there is. Kids sleeping is such a sweet (and sometimes funny) thing to behold, isn’t it? I especially love to peek in their rooms at night, after the bedtime excuses have died, and see that their little bodies have finally given in for the day. I love to soak in how cute they are. Somehow, it helps me forget about anything naughty they may have done. It’s definitely one of my parenting paybacks.

When kids fall asleep, especially in a peculiar position or place, what’s the first thing we do as parents? Grab the camera! Snap that shot that we’ll treasure or laugh at forever.

I compiled some of my favorite photos of my kids sleeping and included some photos of others’ kids too. They are just too sweet and funny!

Click through to see if your child has ever fallen asleep in any of these  25 positions…

My son doesn’t fall asleep in random places very often, but one night we got home from a busy day and he sat down on his bean bag while I did some things. Next thing I know, he’s asleep with one leg crossed on top of another, shoes still on, and a finger hooked onto his glasses. It was so cute! Another time we were at my aunt and uncle’s house, and he’d wandered off. When I found him, he was asleep on their couch with my cousin’s football cradled in his arms! I do have pictures of both times.

gee I wish we could post our own pics…i’d love to see the football one, Alicia. The funniest place my 6 month old baby girl has fallen asleep so far is the swimming pool. Conked right out in her little boat thingy. I have the cutest picture of her after I took her out of the pool, all wrapped in a towel on a beach lounge chair with rolled up towels as bumpers and her little boat as a shade umbrella. Sooo cute!

Lol so cute. My kid falls asleep in a lot of places. It’s pretty funny. Just earlier today she fell asleep in her baby sister’s bouncer.

My three never feel asleep, ok at least it seemed like they never did. Sleep was such an issue when they were little, all have ADHD. Nice to see kids asleep they are darling. I only have one sleep photo of my kids after babyhood. We woke in a hotel room and my youngest was so cute , we had to snap a photo. It is a favorite of mine, one moment of peace in a crazy life.

  8. Lynne says:

My favorite has to be my four year old climbing out of the tub and falling asleep on the bathroom floor.
