5 Must-Do Holiday Traditions (and 5 I'm Skipping)

Oh wow. I’ve had to take a break from the blogging world since December started. It’s crazy out there this time of year! Crafts! Elf on the Shelf! Gift Guides! Yikes. I tried to keep up with the best of them, but I’m tired. And a little anxious and it’s only the 10th of December! I still have 14 more days of this madness. So tonight I simplified Christmas for myself. Here’s my list of 5 must-do holiday traditions and 5 I’m skipping.

But if I was going to do it, I'd use Pin Hole Press. Love their cards, but I'm just too lazy to send them! Will you be sending out cards this year?
Here's the link to Pin Hole Press if so!

While sending out a card isn't on my to-do list, getting a family photo is! It doesn't have to be professional. I use my self timer and take it in our house. Everyone is relaxed and their natural defiant selves. Check out this one from last Christmas!

There is sooo much to do this month in NYC. I'm going to try my hardest not to feel bad if I miss a few things.

I bought this for my sister, so I hope she likes it! As for me, I'm way too forgetful to keep this game up. Do your kids like Elf on the Shelf? Do YOU?

It's a tradition that is so adorable I can't wait to do it again this year. This picture is from a Christmas Party we went to in 2009. My friends in San Francisco had an elaborate set up that I adored. Since then, we've all moved away from each other, but it was fun while it lasted. I plan on doing it again this year on a smaller scale.

It's amazing that snowflakes made out of copy paper transformed my front door. I had fun re-learning a craft I haven't done since I was a kid.
Super easy directions and ideas from Martha Stewart

I make sure to go every year! Problem is, I've put it off longer than usually this year. I usually try to go the last week in November. We're into December so that means long lines and tired cranky kids. I wouldn't miss it for the world!

What Christmas traditions are you skipping this year?
