Anders' Favorite Afternoon Snack: Banana Pudding Bitesamberdoty
Family dinners in the south during the summertime are all about two things: barbecue and banana pudding. Also, baked beans, corn on the cob, and cole slaw, but for Anders and I, it’s really all about the pudding.
The two of us could easily grab a spoon and polish off a giant bowl of the stuff together. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I can’t seem to make banana pudding quite as delicious as my mother’s.
Not to mention, it is best enjoyed after chilling overnight in the refrigerator and you can’t really plan for a craving. Since I can’t have my mother’s day old banana pudding anytime I want, I was motivated to create something almost as delicious, but much simpler to make.
If you are both a banana pudding lover and not so great in the kitchen, I’m about to change your world.
All you need is COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, a banana, and vanilla wafers. Slice up the banana, sandwich it between two vanilla wafers with a dollop of COOL WHIP and voilá! Tastiest treat ever in less than a minute.
Bananas and vanilla wafers are already a favorite go-to snack on their own in our home, but combining them with a little COOL WHIP is what takes it from your average afternoon snack to something that makes the kids feel like they are having a special treat and I’m all about making the ordinary seem a little more extraordinary.
