Crayon Creatures: Turn Your Kid's Drawings Into Figurines!

crayon-08At 4-years-old, Violet is just starting to draw pictures I can recognize.

I have no idea if this puts her ahead or behind her peers and I don’t really care. She’s finally starting to draw stuff that I can identify when she says, “Mommy, look at what I drawed.” And I can reply, “Well look at that, it’s a little pig. I love it!”

And sometimes she creates unidentifiable objects that are strangely beautiful. Stuff that speaks to me in the same way art from people ten times her age moves me.

So when I stumbled on this amazing idea, Crayon Creatures, I immediately checked the corkboard in our playroom where we store Violet’s creations to see if I could get a creature ordered up.

They’re touted as “A unique object for a unique moment. Digitally crafted one by one. Made to order.”

I love it! Let’s face it. Kids produce an ungodly amount of drawings that live on your fridge, walls and counters until you either save them or sneak them into the trash. Now you can commemorate the very best artwork with little figurines you can keep on your shelves at home, take to the office to remind you of the little ones or send to grandma and grandpa. Or hey! Got any artwork from your or your spouse’s childhood lying around?

Crayon Creatures promises their figurines are “Designed and produced with photo-realistic color to maintain the energy and attitude of children’s expressive drawings.”

Take a look at some of their work!
