My household has three hyper, happy, but in-your-face kids in it. My husband works outside the home and I work from home — with both of us having work spill into hours past typical office hours. Part of raising kids is making sure the foundation is safe, and secure — whether that be yourself, with a partner or with a husband/wife, fostering that main relationship is important. It certainly is not easy to do — with single parents, scheduling conflicts and people who have to work entirely too much, but trust me — it’s better in the long run if you do.
My husband and I don’t get out a lot — we don’t have as much time to spend with each other as we would both hope, but we make it work. There are big lulls in when we can get out just the two of us — but we take it when we can. We are SO in need of a night out right now & I realized there were some telltale signs that it was time — for serious!
