Do You Let Your Kids Go Out in Public in Pajamas?

It happened the night before we had an early morning flight. “I’ll just go in my pajama pants,” my daughter told me and I actually gasped. Pajama pants? My children have never worn pajama pants out in public! As a matter of fact,  I  twitch a bit if they don’t get out of their pajamas right after breakfast.

I know for many parents, it’s not a big deal. Pajamas are comfortable, why not enjoy lounging a bit longer? For me, it’s a fine line that leads to the breakdown of society. Pajamas are for sleeping in, so unless someone is sleepwalking, I see no reason to wear pajama pants outside.

Am I alone on this?  Are you okay with your children wearing pajamas out in public or does it make you uncomfortable?
