Our Family's Easter Highlights (Photos)

By mandycheney |

It was a beautiful Easter weekend over here at our house. We’ve been swimming in chocolate, basking in sunshine and doing all kinds of springy things. The best part is we got to spend a whole lot of time together. That’s what Easter break is all about, isn’t it?

My kids are on the tail-end now of their super-long school break. I’m definitely not ready to send them back (but I’m definitely not ready to home-school them). So, off they’ll go. It makes me sad to say that. I’m going to have to set my alarm again. Oh. My. Goodness. I’m not ready to do that.

We celebrated Easter in a very low-key manner this year. The Easter Bunny brought way too much candy, (which I’ll convince my kids to sell to me for a reasonable price.) I can handle one day of the sugar binging, but multiple days? I don’t think so. He also brought a few things to help us get ready for the great weather that lies ahead.

I’m a fan of Easter because we don’t have to do much as far as presents and hoopla goes. The kids got some sidewalk chalk, bathing suits and new markers. That’s it. Typically the Easter Bunny brings new dresses and clothes for church, but this year she just couldn’t pull that much together.

I captured some of my favorite moments of our weekend on camera. Here’s a few…

How we Celebrated Easter

Strike! Strike! Strike!

We kicked off Good Friday with a round of bowling. The perfect sport for the cloudy day that was being sported outside.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! Tell me, how did you celebrate?
