Earlier this month, the parents at P.S. 10 in Brooklyn, NY, surprised the school’s children with a flash mob on the playground at morning line-up. While the parents could very easily have embarrassed their children to death, the footage from the video shows that the kids seemed to really enjoy it. Possibly because the parents, who started out with the bain of every child’s existence, opera, stepped things up and increased the cool factor by adding in some LMFAO. Or possibly because it’s an elementary school and the kids aren’t quite at the age where their parents are completely embarrassing.
Either way, I’m really impressed at the parent’s choreography and the fact that they were able to pull it off without every kid in a 10 mile radius knowing exactly what was going to happen. But I’m even more impressed at the fact that so many of them were involved in the stunt. It makes me happy to realize that so many parents are actively involved in their kid’s school, even if it is in a slightly off-beat manor, and it made me wonder what the turnout would be if we did something similar at my kid’s school.
