I'm Excited for the Changes to Come in 2013

Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013Today is the last day of 2012! Tonight I will be ringing in the New Year with my favorite people around me — my husband and my three kids.

We don’t have anything too exciting planned, just us, some good food, happy movies and trying to stay up until midnight.

Not sure if we will make it, but I am excited for 2013. It’s not that 2012 has been a particularly bad or difficult year, there have been some amazing things that came into my life this past year, but also some difficult times.

I am looking forward to putting the past year struggling with infertility behind me. I have a feeling 2013 is going to be the year we expand our family and I am so hopeful and looking forward to the welcomed life change. The year we’re able to give our kids another sibling to learn with and play with and grow with. I am so excited to see how our family changes in 2013 and watching my kids take on the role of big brother (again) and 2 big sisters.

In 2013, my youngest (Bean) is going to turn 4 years old, which means she’s no longer a toddler but a KID. I am excited to share more stories of her here on Babble and the older two as well. Bean will be starting school in this new year, which just completely blows my mind, but it’s going to be amazing to see her grow and flourish on her own.

It’s crazy how quickly a year can pass and how quickly our kids grow up before our eyes. In 2013 I want to make more time for the small things, to really embrace it all and finally find some happy balance.

Wishing you and your family a very happy New Year!
