Eco-Halloween Crafts for Kids: recycled bird house

Recycled bird house

By Skaie Knox |

Recycled bird house:

Your little one(s) can easily transform these bird houses (or bat houses) into haunted houses! With a little paint and fun foam holiday stickers, (or glitter, ribbon, buttons, etc.), you’ll be hosting a howling house warming party of your own.

Supplies:

Bird house, sand paper, acrylic paint, self-adhesive craft foam, glitter, glue, scissors

How to:

Step 1: Lightly sand entire birdhouse so paint will easily adhere

Step 2: Paint roof black (or any color you’d like) and house purple or orange (or choose any color), add polka-dots to roof and let dry

Step 3: Using craft foam, cut out pumpkins, cats, bats, and/or ghosts and stick wherever you like

Step 4: Using your finger or paint brush, add a light layer of glue to edges of roof, then sprinkle on glitter
