Homemade Kids Crafts – Craft ideas from designer Todd Oldham

5 Homemade presents you can make with your kids.

By Todd Oldham |

Diving into the easy kids crafts in Todd Oldham’s Kid Made Modern is like having your own personal modern art teacher. Projects range from easy to difficult - from making over your sneakers with surprising shoe lace colors to sewing a log shaped felt pillow. Unlike art projects which immediately scream “kid-made,” Oldham’s popsicle stick-free crafts will delight both kids and their design-savvy parents. -Emily Frost

If your children enjoy making kid’s crafts, then you should definitely check out craftclub.com. They have lots of free crafts for kids of all ages. My niece loves the site and in just one week has made 4 crafts.

Oh wow! I love Todd — his clothes, his work on Top Design (which I admit I’ve only watched sporadically) — but I didn’t know he had this amazing kids’ crafts book! I’ll definitely have to pick it up for some fresh ideas.

The stamping projects remind me of the Valentine’s Day craft I had this year (video here: http://youtu.be/WXhEa17wWBQ). I love doing crafts with kids — you should check out my own blog at http://sophworldblog.blogspot.com !
