How the Rich Kids of Instagram take a bath

Did you know Babble is on Instagram?

Well, we are. If you are, follow up and check out all the great images we’re sharing, like the 50 Best Photos of The Summer (So Far).

I love Instagram (@buzzbishop) in the way it cleans up my pictures so easily. I have a couple of cameras, but the only one I bring is my iPhone, because I know with one click I can make it look great.

I mostly take pictures of my kids, or the view. As opposed to the Rich Kids of Instagram taking pictures of their cars, shopping trips, and luxury life.

How not to get your kids to appreciate the value of a dollar after the jump.

There’s a reason Facebook paid $1B for Instagram, right? Everyone loves it. Even the rich kids. A hot new Tumblog, RichKidsofInstagram, is searching out the keywords and collecting their lavish lifestyles.

My son’s best friend is one of the richest people in town. They live in a house that could only be described as a castle. It’s huge. BUT .. the parents, and the kids, are down to earth. They have the money, but they’re not showy about it. They’re raising their kids right. Yknow, unlike the Rich Kids of Instagram who have a silver spoon and aren’t afraid to show it.

Are you rich? Do your kids know it? How do you talk about money?

I like to think being rich wouldn’t make me a total Dbag but I guess I’ll never know.

  2. Violet says:

My cousins are very well off. Traveled around the world but instilled values and made their kids even at a young age work and do chores for money. They are very down to earth and are nice to everyone. They have done more volunteer work than anyone else I know. Also the mom loves to be frugal! She loves a good clearance and garage sale!
