Printmaking for Kids: Recycle Household Objects for Fun Crafts

Four Easy and Green Springtime Crafts

1

Printmaking and stamping is an enjoyable craft activity for children of all ages, and sometimes the best art and craft supplies are things found around your house. I love to take my own two daughters on scavenger hunts – and to the recycling bin – to find objects we can use in new and different ways. It’s a fun and crafty twist on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. The following four spring art projects were inspired by one of these treasure hunts!

Note: Set up your crafting area in a place that will not stress you out to get a little messy – you will have a lot more fun creating with your children if you’re enjoying the process instead of worrying about the mess! Good locations to get messy could be the kitchen table (working on newsprint or an old vinyl tablecloth) or outside in the grass (nature’s drop cloth). – MaryLea Harris
