Taking a Stand for My Children

Every so often something comes along that makes me so completely insanely angry and upset that I simply can’t let it go.

I laughed when I first heard about the group One Million Mom‘s opposition to Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream. I rolled my eyes and shook my head in disbelief at their view on Chaz Bono’s inclusion in the Dancing with the Stars cast for this season.

And then I read about the newest target of their campaign for “morality” and my head nearly came clean off my shoulders.

Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Yes, we live in a country based on principles of free speech and the ability to believe whatever you want. But, in my world, when you would rather oppose a store than support a group that wants to keep children from killing themselves, you’ve gone too far.

You can read more about what has me up in arms over on my personal site, here.
