I’m all for playing in the snow and letting JD be a kid. But, it’s really, really cold out. We ventured out for a little and did some sledding, frolicking and snowball throwing, but soon we were frozen to the bone! It was JD that wanted to go inside for warm popcorn and a movie. I followed suit, for sure.
Of course this only lasted for as long as the movie played. Soon it was back to: “I wanna play in the snow, mommy!” JD was already half in his snowsuit. But, we were dry and warm. I admittedly didn’t want to go back outside, so I did the next best thing …
I brought the snow inside. Really!
Take a look and try it with your kids. It was easy, fun and creative! Psst: It killed an hour at best.

Step 1 1 of 5Bring snow inside. Set up a dry basin and water color paints + brushes. A towel on hand isn't a bad idea.
Step 2 2 of 5Tell your child to pick a toy to make an iceeee for: JD chose Hulk!
Step 3 3 of 5Just paint! Get messy, too.
Step 4 4 of 5Watch the magic happen! And join in on the fun (I did!)
Step 5 5 of 5Freeze outdoors. How awesome does this look!?
