Since sleepovers are a rite of passage in many families, mine included, here are some tips that will help you navigate the world of having little people invade our house for a night:
-Plan to not get much sleep.
-Send the siblings away for the evening.
-Keep guests to a minimum.
-Establish guidelines for the evening.
-Don’t hang around with the kids. Give them time on their own.
-No nagging about the noise or mess.
-Make sure teeth get brushed.
-Negotiate a little bit on bed time.
-Give the kids a countdown to lights out.
-Leave enough lights on.
-Have the kids straighten up the next morning.
-Be firm with the other parents about the pick-up time
