12 Fall Season Jackets For My Kindergartener

It’s officially the fall season and it’s time to break out the warmer clothing we’ve packed up during spring cleaning. Every year it’s the same story with my son— His jackets are too small! Now that he is in school, I have to make sure he has the correct wardrobe that not only fits well but will keep him warm. Fall season jackets are the first thing we go shopping for.

This year he decided to help out with the shopping. I have quite the stylish kid on my hands. He was picky about the buttons and the bulkiness of some jackets we tried on. If it were up to him, he’d wear his favorite jacket every day for school. Thank goodness this year’s fall fashion trends have a variety of styles and colors for boys.

My son feels the most comfortable in clothing that fits him well.  His build and age are very different and this can be very challenging. He is tall and thin and is always being confused for  being a much older kid. Getting longer sleeved clothing means getting larger sized clothing too. It helps to choose jackets that are versatile to any ensemble we put together for school but really the most important part is that it fits well. During our recent shopping trip we scored many great  buys and options. Whether it is physical education day or just a windy day, we have the perfect gear for him to head to school!

Here are a few of the fall season jackets we loved!

  • Denim Jacket 5 of 13

I've never thought of purchasing a denim jacket for my son. It is the it style for kids these days. I wanted to see how one would fit on him and it was actually very cute.  Since the buttons were a bit hard for him to snap, I think it's best to say he'd wear this open.

  • Hooded Sweatshirt Jacket 6 of 13

I love hoodies on my boy.  I am very particular about the color and fit of his hoodies the most. They need to be form fitting and bright in color. I love that this one is bright dinosaur green! They also have turquoise and orange. Since they are so reasonably price, I probably will pick up the other colors too.
