Every end of year, I start getting the itch of changing up my living room. I either get bored with the color scheme or decide to move things around. Does this happened to you? It doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg to redecorate. Sometimes, something as little as changing the pillows on your sofa can change the entire look.
Here are 5 inexpensive ways you can give your living room a little makeover on a budget!
Before: Sofa 1 of 9
Here's a before look at my sofa. As you can see, it looks pretty dull, especially against the grey wall.
Add Decorative Pillows 2 of 9
To make it "pop," I simply added a few decorative pillows. Decorative pillows are an easy and inexpensive way to give your sofa a little makeover. The cobalt blue pillows were only $9.99 at HomeGoods and stand out against the grey. I also found this yellow one from the new Jonathan Adler line for JCPenney for under $30.

Add a Throw 4 of 9
If you don't want to add more pillows, consider adding a throw. Not only does it look nice, but it's perfect for those nights when you just want to snuggle up in your sofa and watch a movie. I bought this one at HomeGoods for $19.99!
Before: Media Center 5 of 9
Here'a a before look at my media center, which, by the way, I scored at an amazing price from IKEA.
Add Books 6 of 9
I love adding books as decor. Make sure you pick some that are coffee table size. You can find these at a bargain on eBay or Amazon.
Add Some Fun Artwork 7 of 9
Artwork can easily add personality to your living room, especially if you have white walls. You also don't have to spend big bucks on artwork. I found this one at HomeGoods for under $20!
The hubby loves New York, so since I have no plans on moving there anytime soon (I love Miami too much), I thought I'd bring a piece of New York to him.

Here's a before look at my coffee table.
Add Candles 9 of 9
Candles are super inexpensive and add a nice warm touch to your living room. You can find different ways to display them. Here, I used a black tray with decorative rocks I bought at Michael's for under $5.
