Dia de los niños is celebrated within Latina America on different dates to honor our children. It’s slowly becoming a trend in the U.S. with various events dedicated to children’s day. Mexico, my family’s native state, celebrates April 30th.
My father recalls celebrating Dia de los niños in school with a day full of food, games, music and candy! As a child my family didn’t make it point to celebrate every year but occasionally we would attend an event or parade dedicated to kids.
I believe that celebrating with my kids is important because it’s a great way to honor them. We make an effort to dedicate a whole day to them with lots of fun, crafts, and an occasional gift.
When I think of Dia de los niños celebration I envision bright bold colored decorations, games, piñatas, crafting and so much love!
I hope you consider celebrating Dia de los Niños this year. To get you started, here are 6 creative DIYs to celebrate children’s day with your little ones!
