7 Style Tips to Transition your Wardrobe from Summer to Fall

Summer is quickly coming to an end and dressing during that transition from summer to fall can sometimes be tricky. Can you still wear dresses? How do you make it appropriate for the season? Well next time you’re standing in front of your wardrobe thinking what am I going to wear, here are a few simple tips to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall.

    During the summer, chambray is huge and I personally love wearing it year round. To transition this summer staple into your fall closet, consider layering it with your favorite sweater.

    Here I am with the same chambray shirt, but I paired it with a yellow sweater and brown trousers.

    During the hot summer months I practically live in dresses and sandals.

    Here I transitioned the same green dress by pairing it with a jean jacket. Snakeskin is also on trend for fall, so I paired it with a pair of snakeskin ballet flats. You can also add a cardigan to make it more season appropriate. And if you live somewhere where it doesn't get extremely cold (for example I live in Miami) sometimes all you need is a jean jacket or light cardigan.

    White t-shirts are another one of my summer go-to's. Here I am wearing it with a pleated skirt and brown wedge sandals for a summer look.

    To transition your white tee or any t-shirt, simply pair it with a cargo vest like I did here. The military trend is still huge this fall. You can also try a pair of cargo pants.

    Emerald green is the color of the year according to Pantone. Here I am wearing it for a summer look paired with shorts and a fedora.

    To transition my button-down shirt I paired it with jeans and nude pumps. This look is perfect for work.

    I love easy breezy tops for the summer. Here I am wearing it with a skirt while visiting a farm with my family.

    To transition this piece, I paired it with trousers in a dark color and lace boots. A perfect fall look.

    One of the easiest ways you can transition any piece from summer to fall is by adding tights. Here I am wearing leather shorts paired with tights and slouchy boots. You can also wear tights with skirts and dresses.

    You can also add ankle boots to your summer dresses to make it appropriate for the fall.
