    Feel Good
The first step when you feel your allergies kicking in is to take an antihistamine like Zyrtec or Benadryl. I always say, you first have to feel good before you can focus on looking good.
  • Contour a Puffy Face 2 of 8
    Contour a Puffy Face
To distract from your Allergy Face, apply a bronzer with brown undertones parallel to your jawline with an angle brush. Make sure it's only one or two shades darker than your natural skin tone as you don't want to overdo it. This will help contour your face to disguise puffiness and give your face a nice glow.
  • Use a Green Primer to Disguise Redness 3 of 8

To disguise any redness, apply a corrector or primer with a green tint followed by your foundation. Green will help offset red.

To distract from watery eyes, dab a shimmery eye shadow in white or silver in the inner corner of your eyes. This will help illuminate your eyes and distract from your Allergy Face.
  • Use Baby Wipes Instead of Tissue Paper 5 of 8
Use Baby Wipes Instead of Tissue Paper
To avoid irritating a red nose use baby wipes, instead of tissue paper which is gentler on the skin. And as a new mom I have tons of these around the house.
  • Use a Navy Mascara to Brighten Eyes 6 of 8
Use a Navy Mascara to Brighten Eyes
To reduce the appearance of watery eyes, apply mascara in navy blue or cobalt instead of black; this will help brighten the whites in your eyes. This is also a good color combination for us Latinas with brown or dark eyes. Be sure to apply several coats of mascara for the full effect.
  • Drink Watermelon Juice 7 of 8
    Drink Watermelon Juice
To reduce the appearance of a puffy face, try drinking watermelon juice. Watermelons are a high water content fruit and are an excellent source of antioxidants. This tip was actually passed down from my abuelita and it's one of my favorites!
  • Use Metal Spoons for Puffy Eyes 8 of 8
Use Metal Spoons for Puffy Eyes
To help relieve puffiness, place two metal spoons in the refrigerator and then place the back of the spoons on your eyelids for five minutes. I love using metal spoons rather than cucumbers because it stays colder longer!
